Spillcam

House and Senate members have posted live camera feeds of the BP oil spill.

Below is footage taken from that feed.

So BBC news has this

BP had stuck by its first estimate that some 5,000 barrels, or 210,000 gallons, a day of crude was leaking from the well - despite claims from several experts that the figure was at least 10 times higher.

But BP spokesman Mark Proegler told news agency AFP on Thursday: "Now that we are collecting 5,000 barrels a day, it might be a little more than that."

I guess the game is hide as much as they can get away with from the public.

So true. BP now says it's getting 5000 Bpd form the 4 inch pipe. Given that that 4 inch pipe has ~5% the area of the 18 inch pipe it's inserted in, seems to want to tell us that perhaps the current estimate is a tad low.

One wonders if any of these people(BP, NOAA, CG, O admin) have an iota of self-respect. They certainly have no respect for 'us'.

The fact that they could make that statement and not be pinned to the wall until they offered a revised, credible estimate is just sad.

The footage shows a gusher despite the siphon pipe.

How could it be a "little" bit more than 5,000?

Ye gods.
