Not that there's anything wrong with that...

File this under one of the strangest things I've read in awhile:

Pentagon Confirms It Sought To Build A 'Gay Bomb'

As part of a military effort to develop non-lethal weapons, the proposal suggested, "One distasteful but completely non-lethal example would be strong aphrodisiacs, especially if the chemical also caused homosexual behavior."

The documents show the Air Force lab asked for $7.5 million to develop such a chemical weapon.
Now, to be fair, I'm sure the government gets all kind of crazy proposals - so it should be pointed out that they rejected this proposal. But still, this idea came out of an Air Force lab in Ohio, so it's not like some mad scientist sent them his idea from crazyland - this was an internal suggestion.

Right up there with that ESP project. Gives you real faith in the guys steering the ship.
