What kind of mileage are you getting?

Again, something that is not news - but something I'd meant to look into.

The new fuel economy tests went into effect for 2008 - so if you are wondering what kind of mileage your car is supposed to get - you can try the government's handy calculator.

This will get you closer to what your car should do - if you really want to know what you're getting  - you'll need to log your odometer and fuel consumption.

I've been using Mymilemarker and twitter - so I can do this via text SMS. Yes, pen and paper would not incur wireless charges, but you wouldn't get nifty graphs and stuff:

Anyway - it's nice to know that my car is getting what it should - as opposed to the rubbish estimates on the manufacturer's label.
