CJR blasts one out of the park and gives us all a little clarity:
Delegates matter, popular votes are window dressing.
Extending that somewhat, we lump these in the same category:
- Number of states "won"
- Size of states "won"
- Difference in the total popular vote
- Difference in each state's popular vote
You get the delegate count, you know who's winning.
You talk about who "won" California - you're just buying into somebody's hype.
This is what happened in California - and it's not yet clear what the implications are.
