Innocent until proven guilty

In a day of bizarre news, this teaser from CJR got my attention:

Bizarre WaPo story today about an ill-fated police raid in Prince George’s County that started with a mysterious thirty-two pound package of marijuana and ended with a handcuffed mayor and two dead dogs.

Back when Steve Dave Chappelle was still on the air - he had a great bit where the police had two suspects.
One was a middle class white guy accused of white collar crime; the other was a lower class black man accused of dealing drugs.

The police approach the drug suspect and ask to speak with him "when you have time." The suspect makes an appointment - and the next scene is a bunch of cops sitting in their interview room watching the clock for a guy who never shows.

Then the cops go after the white collar guy. The scene is his bedroom where the cops bust in with SWAT and drag the man and his wife out of bed by their hair and proceed to rough them up.

Brilliant satire.

--Why am I bringing this up?

Well, apparently the second scenario has happened for real. SWAT went after the Mayor of Berwyn Heights, Maryland - and they were not gentle.
